We operate an Acadian Forest Keepers woodlot and small farm in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.  We are vendors at the Alderney Landing Farmers Market at the Dartmouth ferry terminal on Saturdays from 8 to 1.  Free Spirit Farm produces wood products for home and garden using wood from our own forest land, including rustic bird feeders and bird houses, native bee nest blocks, garden raised beds, unique rustic wood kitchen and household accessories and rustic furniture.  We strive to create beautiful and practical products while maintaining respect for the forest ecosystem.  All of our wood products are sustainable, carry a low carbon footprint and sequester carbon.  Our harvesting is conducted with the intent of improving forest stands to restore the Acadian Forest type and provide diverse habitat for native plants, birds and animals.  We only produce value added products for direct retail and wholesale sales from the wood we harvest.  We also make handmade, vegan, cold process, 100% pure plant oil natural soap using our own botanicals and local Nova Scotia sea products. In addition we grow five varieties of highbush blueberries available in season through pre-order at market or farm gate and through a blueberry U-pick at our farm.
