A century before Canada became a country, the Bishop family founded what would become one of the oldest farms set in the fertile heart of Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, Noggins Corner Farm combines the latest agricultural technology with the farming instincts of a family who is deeply rooted in the land.

Our land stretches over  175 acres of  along the dykes of the CornwallisRiver, we grow 52 varieties of apples, as well as pears, peaches, plums and raspberries. We  cultivate 80 acres of crops including sweet corn, squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, peas, and peppers.

Now owned and operated by Avard Bishop and his sons Andrew and Stirling, our mixed farm operation includes a variety of homegrown fruits and vegetables, a dairy and a bustling year-round farm market, and family fun corn maze in the fall. The Bishops incorporated Noggins Corner Farm in 1992. The name “Noggins Corner” harks back to the late 1800s when weary travellers bought “noggins” of rum from an old Greenwich farmhouse.

We also host a state of the art warehouse whcih allows us to store up to 2000 bins of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. We also have the [farm]  capacity to house another 1500 bins in cold storage. Our modern ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) technology ensures our customers can enjoy delicious, crisp produce, year-round.
